“If you want to know how long a rain storm is going to last, look for birds,” said my mother to me when I was a child. “They will wait out a shower, but dance in puddles if the rain is going to persist.” I recorded this piece for “In the Arms of the Wind,” arranged for oboe, flute, fiddle and piano. This is the first time it appears as a solo piano piece.
