One day my husband Larry brought home a kitten given to him by a client. The orange tabby reminded us of a smart Fox, hence his name. Fox bonded with my husband the most, and in his later years the cat made a habit of sitting in protest, perched on top of Larry’s suitcase whenever an out of town trip was scheduled. It seemed the days of Larry’s absence were simply days of waiting to our dear Fox. He showed his loyalty by sleeping on Larry’s side of the bed in his absence, and daydreaming on his desk during the day. Fox passed away the day after I recorded this song.
